“Nafas – Empowering Children at Risk Through Sports”​
​Nafas is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013 to support at-risk children—especially street children in Egypt—through sports. Inspired by the Street Child World Cup in Brazil, six friends formed Egypt’s first national team of street-connected youth. The initiative, named "Nafas" (Arabic for "breath"), symbolizes giving children a fresh start and hope.​
Originally focused on football, Nafas has grown into a holistic program that includes education, psychological care, healthcare, and job opportunities. It serves both boys and girls and has represented Egypt internationally in countries like Brazil, Russia, and Qatar.
Beyond competition, Nafas empowers youth through sport, art, and education—helping them reintegrate into society with dignity, confidence, and purpose.​
